Hello everybody,

I just wanted to share some pictures of me surfing for the first time. Okay, so I couldn't figure out how to stand up without falling off, but I could ride the wave in on my knees! It was so much fun!

On top of that the boys saw a shark! So we took a time out and ate watermelon for about a half hour and then got back in! Don't worry, shark attacks happen when

1. The water is murky and they can't tell the difference between toes and fish.

2. Near jetties, inlets, and piers.

3. When there are hundreds of people in the water, and thus they have no room to swim.

Yesterday the water was so clear you could see about 4 feet down, we were surfing New Symerna but NOT near the Ponce De Leon inlet (where most of the shark bites in Florida happen... and normally around surfing competitions when there's hundreds of people out there) And there weren't too many people in the water.

We also saw Jelly Fish. And one Man O'War, some crabs, a sea snake, and we think a sting ray. All in one day. Scarey eh?

I so want to buy my own longboard now! It was so much fun, and I didn't even get sun burnt! Woo hoo!
